Data Analyst - Looker Studio Expert
We're looking for a talented Data Analyst with deep expertise in Google Looker Studio to join our growing team. You'll work directly with clients to transform their raw data into beautiful, actionable dashboards that drive real business decisions.
What You'll Do
- Design and build interactive dashboards and reports in Looker Studio that tell compelling data stories
- Connect diverse data sources (BigQuery, Google Sheets, databases, APIs) and ensure data accuracy
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into visual insights
- Optimize dashboard performance and implement best practices for data visualization
- Create documentation and train client teams on dashboard usage and self-service analytics
- Work with our data engineering team to ensure clean, reliable data pipelines feed your visualizations
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience building dashboards and reports in Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio)
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and UX design for analytics
- Experience connecting Looker Studio to BigQuery, Google Sheets, and other data sources
- Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and calculated field creation
- Excellent communication skills—you can explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders
- Portfolio of dashboards you've built (links or screenshots welcome)
Nice to Have
- ○Experience with dbt for data transformation
- ○Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- ○Background in a specific industry (e-commerce, SaaS, marketing)
- ○Experience working with startups or fast-paced environments
Data Analyst - Looker Expert
We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst who lives and breathes Looker (the enterprise BI platform, now part of Google Cloud). You'll help our clients unlock the full power of their data through semantic modeling, sophisticated explores, and pixel-perfect dashboards.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain LookML models that create a reliable semantic layer for client organizations
- Design intuitive Explores that empower business users to self-serve their analytics needs
- Create executive dashboards and operational reports that drive decision-making
- Implement row-level security, user attributes, and access controls for enterprise deployments
- Optimize query performance and manage Looker instance health
- Partner with data engineers to design dimensional models that work beautifully in Looker
- Train client teams on Looker best practices and self-service analytics
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML development
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of dimensional modeling concepts
- Experience building semantic layers and managing complex data relationships in LookML
- Track record of creating dashboards that business users actually love and use
- Excellent communication skills—you bridge the gap between data and business teams
- Experience with Git-based workflows for LookML version control
Nice to Have
- ○Looker certification or Google Cloud certifications
- ○Experience with BigQuery and the Google Cloud data stack
- ○Background in dbt for transformation layer
- ○Experience with Looker API and embedded analytics
